View Photographer's Profile

This is a view from the top of Donner Summit looking out over Donner Lake. Also visible is the original "Chinese Wall", a retaining wall built to support the Central Pacific tracks between two tunnels. The tracks were removed when a new, shorter tunnel was blasted through the Sierras many yeas ago but the old tunnels and roadbed remain.
