Gino Valle square, Milan, Italy (pano #2)
Milan
This new square in Milan (the biggest in town) is named after Gino Valle, a famous Italian designer and architect. Among the various architectural interventions carried out in Milan in recent years, this large square is one of the least frequented, perhaps due to its secluded position (it was built on a dismissed industrial area not very close to the city centre), perhaps because almost all the surrounding buildings are not homes but offices; eventually, no shops have been opened there. The only building worthy of note is "Casa Milan", painted with red-black stripes because it's the headquarters of Milan A.C., one of the city's two famous football teams (the other is Inter, with a striped shirt too, but blue-black). The reason why I took a couple of 360° panoramas just there (this one being the second, from North to South) is because I was impressed by its constant, almost unreal loneliness, that recalls me the De Chirico's metaphysical paintings
