The Jewish Cemetery in Sulzburg was founded in the middle of the 16th century. After some years from 1670 on, when a different cemetery that was in joint use by several Jewish Communities was founded in Lörrach, the cemetery was not in use. But in 1717 it was in use again. In 1970 a memorial was erected for the victims of the NS-terror from 1933 to 1945.
