As the second traditional puppet theatre museum in Taiwan, the International Kaohsiung Puppet Theatre was launched in March 13, 1994, with a total area of 1150 square meters. The building includes one underground storey and three storeys aboveground. The underground storey is designated as theme hall and special exhibition area. The first floor is a major exhibition area of the museum, including theme hall and information room. The second floor includes office space and theatre. The third floor is the classrooms for puppet theatre learning. This museum of multi-functional facilities and delicate design integrates folk living arts which not only satisfies visitor's curiosity in puppet arts, but also play an important role in preserving and enhancing Taiwan's traditional arts in puppet theatre.
