Las Vegas Carnegie Public Library
New Mexico
Philanthropist Andrew Carnegie built libraries for communities around the world in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. They were usually substantial and attractive buildings, and many survive in varying roles today. This fine domed structure in Las Vegas, built in 1903, is still the public library.
