Neunussberg - Entrance To The Castle Tower
Bavaria

The castle Neunußberg is a now only as a ruin preserved former late medieval to early modern Adelsburg, and is located in the eponymous Kirchdorf Neunußberg, east of Viechtach in the Lower Bavarian district of Regen in Germany.

There are still the mighty square residential tower, remains of the surrounding wall with a three-quarter round shell tower and the renovated castle chapel from the time of 1356. The tower has a square layout with a side length of about 20 meters and a height of about 25 meters.

More About Bavaria

The “Free State of Bavaria” is renowned for being culturally unique and for the emphasis which it places on preserving its heritage and traditions. It is also extraordinarily beautiful, boasting a plethora of castles, palaces, cathedrals, abbeys and monasteries not to mention spectacular scenery. Bavaria is more than Alps, men in “lederhosen” (leather pants), women in “dirndl” (traditional dresses) and frothy glasses of beer by the “maβ” (liter).
