Gonies Village located at the entrance of the gorges of the Panagia and Rosa from the finest gorges of Crete, a walking trail connects the Gonies with Kera through the gorge of Rosa. Its location is in the western foothills of Selena (at an altitude of 1,559 m) in the 40.1 km of the road to Lasithi Plateau. They are occupied primarily with oil production.
