Paradise Lake is located at the base of Kings Castle in the Marble Mountain Wilderness, California.  It was along the ridge above that a famous June 2001 video captured bigfoot descending down the ridge.  The video was taken by a group of eight campers who were by the bigfoot's 'camp'.  The video footage can be seen here:

To me that is the easiest way to ascend Kings Castle, so my own personal bias thinks it was just a lone hiker (like me).
