Power's Lookout overlooks the King Valley below and the Alpine National Park in the distance. Henry Power had his camp near here. He was a bushranger in the 1860's and chose this location for his hide out because the views supposedly allowed him to see people approaching it. But in 1870 the police came up here undetected and captured him.

Australia is the driest inhabited continent and Victoria is no exception although the state capital Melbourne has the reputation to have 4 seasons in one day. Victoria is located in the southeast of mainland Australia and includes the most southern point on mainland Australia at Wilsons Promontory National Park.
