In New Zealand, forestry researchers planted strands of different conifer species in a Rotorua forest to see which ones grew best i nthe conditions.

This has resulted in an impressive stand of Redwood trees.

There is a visitor centre and a series of visitor walks amongst them. This pano captures a group being guided through.

But the Redwoods area is best known for its world class mountain bike trails running throughout the forest. Vistitors including myself come from all over the world to ride here.
