Shihbaluohanshan
Taiwan
Located by the Laonong River in the Liugui District, the Shihba Luohanshan mountain has a special shape that makes it a famous landscape. It looks like the Eighteen Disciples of the Buddha, thus becoming the spiritual guardian of Liugui. The shape is actually due to long-term erosion that has given rise to many steep peaks that have come to be known as "Guilin in Taiwan." With vegetation unable to grow on it, Luohanshan also looks like "Huoyan Shan," the Flaming Mountain as described in the book "Journey to the West." Therefore it's also called "Liugui Huoyan Shan" and has been designated as the "Shihba Luohanshan Nature Reserve."
