Švehla's bridge in Tábor, 1935

In the late twenties of the 19th century began to be roads from Tabor to the west , due to the expansion of traffic unbearable , especially in winter . The road leading from the railway compartment "Black Bridge " down into the valley and here in the narrow river Lužnice for a little longer convenient bridge to the opposite village Čelkovice , from switchbacks to a considerable hill through the village slides further towards Tyn nad Vltavou or Bechyně . Nightingale and the company Ing . Brázdil and Dr. Jez ; construction was awarded to the company Hlavacek , state building management -Ing . Luke . Most first class with a capacity of 22 t , the distance of 167 m , with an arch 25 m above the river , the road from the right side has a 5 % incline , height difference of the two bridgehead is approximately 850 cm . The bridge was built in 16 months and 28 October 1935 was inaugurated .
