Whalebone Arch, Latheronwheel, Caithness, Scotland
Scotland

This whalebone arch has stood for a long time here. I believe that the bones are from a whale washed ashore rather than as a relic of the whaling industry. I know very little about the arch it just catches my eye every time I pass it and this time I managed to stop and take its picture.

The whalebone is looking worse for ware now, it has been pinned up with metal supports in the past but it now has ropes holding it is well.
