In order to boost local economy, accelerate industrial upgrading, create local employment opportunities, as well as promote the action plan of private investment, then Kaohsiung County and Taiwan Land Development Corporation selected the land of Benzhou Farm in Gangshang District released by Taiwan Sugar Corporation as a demonstrative area for industrial park development according to the “Economic Revitalization Policy” of Council for Economic Planning and Development. The design of the industrial park adopts the sustainable eco-cycle development plan for urban and rural areas as the blueprint to introduce the advanced technological industry and research developmental institute, as well as boost material recycling in order to strengthen the function of production. The cycle system of natural ecological in the park is integrated with the industrial development, thus a high quality living environment for production, livelihood and ecological is created.
