completed in 1657 and consecrated in 1665. It burnt out on the
night of 21st and 22 nd March 1941, the fire being caused by
some of the very many incendiary bombs that fell on the City
of Plymouth that night. The church was not rebuilt, but it is the
City‟s memorial to the civilians killed in the Blitz. Today, the
ruin is situated in the middle of one of the busiest roundabouts
in Plymouth.
