The Christmas market in Old town, Stockholm have had traditions since 1915. It is arranged during the priod November 22 - December 23. It is held at Stortorget in the middle of the Old town.

Stortorget is one Sweden's most important historical places. Back in 1520 the Stockholm blood bath happened here. Under four November days the Danish king Kristian II executed almost 100 persons from Swedens noble families.
