Market Harborough lies on the southern border of Leicestershire in the fertile Welland Valley. This market town, dating back to the early 13th century, enjoys good commuter links, being situated on the Midland Mainline railway, and just a few miles drive from the M1, A1 and A14, and about an hours drive from East Midlands Airport. The town is also accessible by the Grand Union Canal which terminates at Union Wharf on the northern border.
