The Vernon Mine is a gold mine north of Yreka, California.  I have not been able to find much information on this long abandoned mine.  This was taken inside the miner's cabin near the portal which still has an original bedframe, shelves, sink, water tank, a dish rack, even a barbecue grill grate hanging on a nail outside.
