The sheer size of the dredge from 1936 is impressive, it was 64 metres long and 50 metres wide at its bow weighing a staggering 1880 tonnes. The dredge found its final resting place in a small lake that it had dug up itself.
Victoria is Australia's second smallest State and covers only 3% of Australia's land area but has the second highest population of all States and Territories. Victoria is located in the southeast of mainland Australia and includes the most southern point on mainland Australia at Wilsons Promontory National Park.
