Domus 1 at Empúries, Museu d'Arqueologia de Catalunya
The nearby plate tells us this:
"Built during the 1st century BC, following the Italic model of architecture, Roman house number 1 in Empúries is a veritable urban palace thanks to its size and building characteristics. The main body of the house was designed around the atrium, an open-air central courtyard onto which the main rooms in the house opened. Successive extensions were carried out on this original structure that involved the construction of a large peristyle, with spacious rooms and extensive garden areas. The nobler rooms had black and white mosaic flooring and pictorial decorations on the walls."
