Lake Cullulleraine at Cullulleraine
Victoria

Lake Cullulleraine is a man-made lake in the Sunraysia region of Victoria, Australia. Located between Renmark in South Australia and Mildura in Victoria the lake is a popular destination for swimming, water skiing, yachting, canoeing, jet skiing and fishing surrounded by a semi-arid landscape. Originally the lake was a dry natural depression which occassionally filled with flood waters from the Murray River. In the 1920s 500 men were employed to construct an irrigation system which connected the lake to the Murray River and provided a reliable water source for the area surrounding the lake.
