En contrebas du village de Peyrusse le roc, s'étend, dans un cadre à la fois sauvage et verdoyant, un site médiéval d'une grande beauté. Un agréable sentier en pente, au départ du centre du village, permet de partir à la rencontre des différents éléments qui composent cet ensemble remarquable. Les photogéniques tours du château inférieur perchées sur le roc del Thaluc, les ruines de l'ancienne église Notre-Dame-de-Laval, le pont du Faubourg franchissant l'Audierne, le Tombeau du Roi, mausolée du XIVe siècle, les vestiges de l'hôpital des Anglais, le beffroi et la porte de la Barbacane sont autant de témoignages du passé moyenâgeux qu'il vous sera possible d'admirer au fil de la balade

On July 14th, 1789 angry mobs stormed La Bastille prison and began the Revolution in which Louis XVI, his wife Marie-Antoinette and thousands of others met the guillotine.One decade after the revolution, Napolean Bonaparte seized control of the Republic and named himself Emperor.
