The Linguang Export Processing Zone is an industrial park at the Cianzhen District. It was listed as an export processing zone in 1998 by the Executive Yuan. The zone has an ideal location, for it is close to the Kaohsiung International Airport, the highway, and the cargo center. The park integrates manufacturing, R & D, and environmental protection functions as it grows in size and scale. It has also undergone some landscape engineering and reconstruction so as to become more user and visitor-friendly.
