The Roman Catholic St. Sigismund Chapel in Oberwittighausen was built in the 12th century and is one of the oldest sacred buildings in the Main-Tauber district. The building is similar to the St. Achiatus chapel in Grünsfeldhausen and the Michaelskapelle in Gaurettersheim, which unfortunately no longer exists, an octagonal central building. The St. Sigismund Chapel is open on request and can be visited.
