Porte de Paris in Lille
France

Porte de Paris is one of the gates of the old ramparts of the city of Lille.

Rebuilt in the late seventeenth century in triumphal arch to celebrate the victories of Louis XIV, it is sometimes considered a masterpiece of military art.
It is classified as a historical monument in 1875.
One can see the Belfry of Lille in the background.

The shot was taken in february 2014, in the middle of the afternoon. Panorama made in HDR version (enfuse).
