Located in the street República de Croacia, this beach was born during the peak period of the niter, as a small ships repair center until that the current Mayor of the region, Maximiliano Poblete turned this place into an entertainment center. To achieve this project, he invested 200.000 pounds and with this amount of money he built skeleton of the place. Some years later the Terraza Miramar set up, it was a quay protected with parasols, mainly a picnic place for families and showers. When Pedro Araya was the mayor La Cimbra was built, it took place the destruction of the rocky part of the beach and it was built a beach sidewalk over it and a new trampoline. Nowadays it is one of the artificial beaches in Antofagasta which is visited by many tourists throughout the year.
