Riodades is located in the valley of the River Távora on the right bank, 22 km from S. João da Pesqueira, Portugal. Riodades is an essentially agricultural and fruit-growing parish with a special focus on the cultivation of wine, olive oil, potatoes and corn. Riodades has S. Miguel as its patron saint. however, the great pilgrimage is held to Our Lady d'Alegria. In the beginning it was celebrated on the 12th and 13th of September and now in the month of August, called the feast of emigrants.
