The Saint Dimitrios Church in Rovies Village on Evia Island is located at the southern entrance overlooking the entire village and right below the Monastery of Saint David. To the west lies the Venetian Tower which was used as a base of operations during WW2 by the German army. To the east lies the War Memorial Statue of Lieutenant and dear cousin to me Dimitrios Agiasofitis.
Rovies is a typical quiet Greek countryside village that has all the necessary facilities from supermarkets, schools to a doctor. It is a farming village with main cultivation on olive trees and olive oil production via the local farmers partnership which has built and sustained for many years an olive oil production factory which covers all the local needs and has great exporting power to the United States and many countries in Europe including the UK.
