Along the alleys one bar, café and restaurant is right next to the other. Get in, have a drink or taste the tapas like basque version of a snack called Pintxo. A piece of bread with all imaginable toppings, a piece of spanish omelette or some olives. All these snacks have on in common: A toothpick ("pinchar" = "to prick"). The pintxos are paid piecewise by counting the toothpicks on the table. Be honest!
