Schmutzer Primate Center located within Ragunan Zoological Park, South Jakarta. The primate center, which was officially announced on August 20th 2000. Schmutzer Primate Center was a grant from the late Pauline Antoniette Adeline Schmutzer.
Schmutzer Primate Center is an artificial habitat of primates like chimpanzee, orang utang, gorilla, and other kinds of primate. Visitors can observe the behavior and activities of the primates from a sky cross that was built over the area where they are inhabited.
The primate center was designed ti be a recreation area as well a place for educational and research activities. To support this, the center is equipped with theater, library, educational cave for children, suspension bridge, and artificial tunnel which long reach 250 meters.
