The monuments to Vladimir Vysotsky can be found worldwide, mostly in Russia and Ukraine, as well as in Poland, the USA, Bulgaria, Belarus, etc. As worldwide is the love for this world famous poet, actor and singer, people's favorite and idol of millions.
37 years had passed since Vladimir Vysotsky died. Thus, on July 25, in the framework of the project “Alley of Russian glory” once in three settlements of the South of Russia the solemn opening of the monument to this great man took place in the city of Yeysk in particular.
The author of the monument is a Krasnodar sculptor Alexander Apollonov. The monument -bust is set in the Park named after Ivan Poddubny (of the famous Russian professional wrestler (1871 – 1949). The monument is a bust of the poet, mounted on the column, on which marble slabs with quotations from the poems of the author attached. And if bronze features are repeated in detail in many cities, the inscriptions on the pedestals differ slightly.
Despite the fact that the great bard was in Yeysk only once to play some gigs, the city left such a lasting impression on the poet that he dedicated a few lines to it in one of his songs.
