It is near the new wholesale market hall in Akdeniz District, Mersin. There is also a small garrison fortress dated to the Middle Ages on Tırmıl Tepe, where remains of pottery can easily be encountered on the surface. This fortress faces the Gudubes (Yaka) fortress located in the northeast. Therefore, it must have been used for communication purposes as well. The two towers in the northeast and northwest are partially preserved.
