一線天位於岡山區與田寮區交界處的大崗山後山巖，沿朝元寺後山步道上山，約15分鐘左右即可抵達，沿途林蔭蔽天、空氣新鮮，相傳明永曆36年(1682年)大崗山發生「山鳴」，山背自南而北龜裂形成一條山溝，站在洞內抬頭仰望天空，只見天空形成一直線，故名為「一線天」。洞內景觀原始自然，岩壁上有鐘乳石的痕跡，洞口附近蜿蜒而上的樹木則是大葉雀榕。
