Asgari Building, Dar es Salaam Bookshop Makunganya Street, Dar es Salaam. The oldest bookshop in Tanzania. It opened in 1935. Tucked away in the port city of Dar es Salaam, are many heritage buildings of architectural interest. Most have been left for years and are in need of renovation. Over the past few year some of these buildings have been knocked down to make way for modern architecture.
