本溪市英雄纪念碑,坐落在本溪市望溪公园内，公园最高处，屹立着人民英雄纪念碑。上面镌刻着董必武、朱德、谢觉哉等老一辈无产阶级革命家的亲笔题词。碑座四周镶嵌着大理石浮雕碑下是三百四十多级的台阶，直抵园门。园中设有“寄芳园”、“风华园”等园中园、园中自繁的君子兰，花朵艳丽，十分名贵。

望溪公园建在市区中心一座形如马鞍的孤山上，山高海拔二百四十公尺，占地四十二公顷。登山环视，山城景色历历在目，故称“望溪公园”。
