Пятый форт (форт V) построен в 1878 – 1888 гг., модернизировался в 1908 – 1911 гг. Расположен в 4 км юго-западнее Брестской крепости в микрорайоне Гершоны г. Бреста. Занимает площадь – 0,79 км2. 5 форт входил в число оборонительных объектов Брест-Литовской крепости первой линии.
