澄清湖風景區位於鳥松區，舊名大貝湖、大埤湖，面積約375公頃，1959年開放為風景區，湖光山色景色秀麗，是南部地區的旅遊勝地，素有「台灣西湖」之美譽，區內分為風景區、水源地、遊憩區三部份，兼具供水及觀光兩大功能。昔日蔣故總統介石先生極為喜愛，在湖畔建有行舘一棟，現每周日開放供民眾參觀。
