澄清湖，舊名大貝湖、大埤湖，1963年，先總統蔣公因見湖水清澈改稱為「澄清湖」，是高雄第一大湖、水源地，更是重要的風景區。風景區裡的九曲橋，建於1960年，橋長230公尺、寬2.5公尺，灰色橋墩呈現出簡樸的風格。因橋面迂迴九個折彎，所以叫九曲橋，仿照上海城隍廟之九曲橋建成，也是國內最長的九曲橋。「曲橋釣月」表現夜晚在橋上觀月的雅興。
