The official cycling route in the Italian part of Val Müstair (or Münstertal) connects Vinschgau in South Tyrol with the Canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. As long as you're not riding a race bike you will enjoy the trail away from the often busy road. From here it's just a few hundred meters to Taufers im Münstertal and further to the Swiss border. I guess the ford is there for agricultural vehicles, bicycle riders are supposed to use the bridge instead.
