大黑山原称大赫山、大和尚山、老虎山，位于大连金州城东15公里，开发区北10公里，高约663米，为大连近郊最高峰。此峰山色郁郁，颜色深暗，山势雄伟，气势磅礴，山中古迹众多，有唐王殿、石鼓寺、朝阳寺、点将台等寺庙。山顶道路崎岖，岩石陡峭，如逢秋日天晴，登上峰顶，可远眺数十公里之外，左看黄海，右看渤海，南面大连城区清晰可见，东面金石滩，西面金州古城皆历历在目，风光甚好，只是峰顶近年被众多天线设施占据，有煞风景。
