大湖番茄會社建於日據時期，為台日合資經營以外銷為主的番茄工廠，光復後改製鳳梨罐頭，又隨時代變遷而蕭條，現廠房雖已荒廢而斷垣殘壁，惟百年鳳凰木依舊昂然佇立，盛夏鳳凰花開，艷紅奪目；雨後蔚藍天空，枝芽嫩綠、落英綻紅相互輝映唯美至極；冬季綠葉落盡，巨大枝幹與斷垣殘壁，充滿寂寥之美。番茄會社的四季樣貌栩栩如生，吸引許多攝影愛好者爭相在此展現身手，成為熱門的攝影景點。
