Cet arc de triomphe se situe dans le quartier historique de Dijon, un des centres névralgiques de Dijon par une présence importante des transports en commun et des commerces. Cet édifice bénéficie de plusieurs visions : d'une part une vision lointaine dans le prolongement de la rue de la Liberté et du boulevard Sévigné, d'autre part une vision proche quand l'observateur est sur la place. Cette porte marque l'entrée dans le vieux Dijon. Nous souhaitons symboliser cela et garder une cohérence avec les mises en lumière existantes, nous avons choisi de conserver une touche de bleu dans le porche de celle-ci. Le reste de l'arche sera éclairé en blanc chaud 3000 Kelvins à partir du sol, du premier et second étage.
