I spent a brief time volunteering at the animal sanctuary of La Senda Verde, a Florida-registered charity in Bolivia in North Yungas. Capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys and squirrel monkeys run amok inside and make a fool of the volunteers while flying macaws shit all over the place. It was chaotic inside and yet very enjoyable. Here the footbridge brings visitors over the fast-running Yolosa river to the sanctuary.
