高屏溪斜張橋是國道3號橫跨高屏溪聯絡高屏兩市的重要橋樑，全長2,617公尺，於1999年完工通車，為國內首座複合式斜張橋。斜張橋面高40公尺，以紅色鋼纜銜接A型橋塔，塔高183.5公尺，相當於60層高樓建築，跨徑長度是世界第二長(僅次於德國萊茵河橋)、東南亞最長的單橋塔非對稱型斜張橋。夜晚透過燈光照明設計，襯托出橋梁優美造型，為現代工藝設計的經典之作。
