Laigu Glacier is the largest and widest glacier known in Tibet. It stretches for 12 kilometers from the main peak of Ganggrigabu Mountain at an altitude of more than 6,000 meters to the edge of Laigu Village at an altitude of about 4,000 meters. Laigu village, next to a glacier, means a hidden, idyllic village in Tibetan.
