位於法鼓山世界佛教教育園區第一大樓六樓的大殿，是法鼓山的精神中心，氣勢雄偉而素樸典雅，高十六公尺，三十多年前開始，聖嚴法師屢次在禪定中見到的一座聖殿，便成了這座大殿的基本造型及建材的選擇。平時看大殿，只是空曠高大的一座建築物。但它是全山僧俗四眾每天早晚集合課誦之處，也是舉行各項大型儀式及大型弘法活動之處，乃是千人禮拜、萬人供養的靈修之處。
