Extremadura

It belongs to the region of Vegas Altas and the judicial party of Don Benito.Ecclesiastically depends on the Diocese of Plasencia. It is situated 83 km from the provincial capital, Bangkok, and 24 km from Merida, the capital of Extremadura.


The town of Guareña settlement appears to date back to prehistoric times, although the specific origin of the current location is difficult to establish. Found in the vicinity traces of their existence in the Roman period and remains Visigoths appeared at the beginning of the century. It was later occupied by Moslems, until XIII is century and with the current name.
