嘉陵江源头风景区：

横贯中国中部的东西走向山脉，重要自然地理界线。东汉班固的《两都赋》中已有“秦岭”之名。
中国有许多名川大山，但以秦岭最为独特。秦岭作为中国非常重要的一个生态系统，不仅仅单纯地体现在生态环境上，而且体现在历史和文化上。可以毫不夸张地说，没有哪一座山脉像秦岭这样哺育着中华文明的进程，也没有哪一座山脉像秦岭这样深刻地影响着中华文明的进程。如果把黄河比作中华民族的母亲河，秦岭就应该是中华民族的父亲山。

陕西，简称陕或秦，也称三秦，是中国的西北地区的一个省，省会西安，位于中国内陆腹地，属于黄河中游和长江上游，地处东经105°29′～111°15′，北纬31°42′～39°35′之间。东邻山西、河南，西连宁夏、甘肃，南抵四川、重庆、湖北，北接内蒙古，居于连接中国东、中部地区和西北、西南的重要位置。因在陕州（现为河南省陕县）以西，故称陕西。历史悠久，文化底蕴深厚。陕西在历史上较长时期一直简称为“秦”。
