The Shivsager tank (Shiv Sagar tank) plays an important part in the ritual life of Khajuraho village. During the Shivaratri festival, hundreds of pilgrims bath in the tank and then head to the Matangeshvara temple for worship. Women of the village come to the banks of the Shivsager tank to worship lord Krishna.
