Uhuru Peak, Kilimanjaro, at 5895m (19341ft) the highest point in Africa. The old wooden sign has been replaced several years ago. It's late for the summit (11 LT), clouds are starting to move in. We started in the night at Arrow Glacier camp, went down to Lava Tower and around the mountain to climb up the Northern Icefields via the new Thomas Glacier route.

Down in the crater the poor remains of Furtwaengler glacier can be seen, and behind the Northern Icefields.
